Gidgy
“Every ending leaves a spark, if you look in time.”
Wandering Spark
Warm, quick, and guided by feeling rather than books. She does not understand magic, she knows it, the way you know a friend's step in the dark. Small and easy to overlook, which she uses. Nervous in her own skin, steady where she is needed, and quietly carrying an ending she could not stop.
Self-taught. Loose ties to the Explorer's League.
To learn to feel magic well enough to find the spark in anything, and to be where it is needed before it goes out.
Gidgy is a gnome who left the stone and smoke of her people's warrens and never quite went back. She is young, and small, and she feels things loudly, and she does not understand magic, not the way the books put it. She knows it. The way you know a friend's step in the dark, or the moment before rain.
She taught herself out in the cold places of Northern Kalimdor, where the magic runs close to the surface: the highborne ruins of Azshara, the blue wards of Winterspring. She went where she was needed, and she found that she could feel the difference between spells the way other people feel weather, and that endings leave a spark behind if you look in time.
Her people lost a city once, and she was too young to do anything about it. She cannot save everything. But she can be where an ending is coming, and make sure a beginning follows. That is the whole trick, and she is very good at it.
